'Be Still'
Two of the most important words I have ever learned. What exactly do they mean? As children we're told by our parents when they get annoyed with us to be quiet and be still, hearing them over and over. Does being still mean to physically stop all you are doing and stand or sit, halt and stop everything? Well, one might say all of the above are the translation and meaning of the 'two words.' However, think about this.
I am a Gemini and as most know Gem's tend to multi-task and be in several directions at one time. Some think it's great, I find it quite the contrary at times! There have been times, more than I can count, where situations arise and I immediately jump into warp full speed ahead mode and end up in my hyper thought mode. There may be issues with family, friends, money, the weather, the news, the list goes on and on. It seems that now and then it all happens at one time, one day. Some are ongoing, some are not. I'll try to 'fix' all that I can at one time so everyone is happy and they are back on track so to speak. The truth is, this can never really happen. Why? Because I'm expelling good energy after bad. I am not at my best to lend a hand and do what I feel I must because I've become overwhelmed. So what do you do?
I must say thanks to my Native American family for teaching me a very important lesson. That lesson is to just "BE STILL" Be still in your thoughts , feelings and emotions. Step back from all situations and regain my own balance and ground. "To be still" is to think of nothing but oneself, to go inward and retouch base with ourselves. It's like being in a circus on the high wire, you can go to far to the left or right, your goal is to remain steady on the wire, thus being 'neutral' That is how we should all be when we are bogged down and our head is filled with this and that - why and why not, what to do or not to do. Be still within yourSELF, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes and 'be still.' You will see this will help you to clear your mind, heart and soul so you can refocus and see what you need to see clearly and without the mud which has filled your thoughts.
